Dramovox 2013
Heads up! The last Dramovox class of 2013 will be on Wednesday 18th December. We wish all our Dramovox gang a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Les Mis understudies
Greetings peeps!
We've had people asking when the understudy performance of Les Misérables School Edition will be, so they can book tickets to see them. Well, we can announce that the understudy performance is scheduled to be the Saturday Matinée, that's 2:15pm on 22nd March. Head over to our Box Office page to book your tickets, the show is expected to be a complete sell-out!
Choosing our cast at auditions for Les Mis was incredibly tough, and I can assure you all that our understudies are all incredibly talented. If I wasn't involved I'd probably be booking for two performances so I could see both sets of principals!
Of course, as with any show, illness or injury could cause changes in the cast, so we can't guarantee certain people will be performing on certain nights, I'm sure you can understand that. Anyway, get booking and thanks for your support!

Greetings people of Upstagers!
Well it's here - after a lot of work our team is proud to launch the brand new Upstagers website and online box office system!
I hope you like the new look and feel to the site - there is now a news section (I assume you've found that if you are reading this post) which will be updated regularly with information about rehearsal, auditions, shows, Dramovox, and some behind-the-scenes looks at what goes on here at Upstagers.
The biggest change is that Upstagers have partnered with TicketSource to (finally) bring you online booking! You can choose your exact seats at any time, day or night, up to three hours before showtime, and we do not charge a booking fee. The online box office accepts payment by VISA credit and debit, MasterCard credit and debit, Maestro, American Express and JCB cards. We do not charge you a fee for payment by credit card.
Alternatively you can call 0844 870 0887, this telephone box office service is available Mondays to Fridays, 9.00am to 7.00pm (excluding bank holidays) and Saturdays 9.00am to 5.00pm. This is a low-call rate number, costing 5p per minute. Tickets for 'Snow White' and 'Les Mis' are on sale so give it a go and book your seats now!
I'd like to thank John Clark for all his work setting up the new booking system (he did all the work - I just made it look pretty), and Susan Lister for all her help and support.

Christmas Cheer at The King's Hall!
A very big thank you to all the cast and crew that worked so hard to put on such a great show last night. 'A Christmas Carol' definitely brought some Christmas cheer to our audience!
Also, thanks to all the people that came to watch, it was heartwarming to see such great support for all our Dramovox gang, so thank you all... and we wish you all a very Merry Christmas!

If you are able to give some assistance in any of the following areas, please fill in one of the forms available in The Barn, or collar Gill or Andrew.
Moving set into King's Hall on Saturday 18th January at 10am.
Setting up on Saturday 18th January, 11am - 4pm.
Striking set (packing it all up) on Sunday 2nd February 9am - 1pm.
Costume making.
Costume trimming (buttons, press studs etc.).
Making headdresses.
Makeup - Children.
Makeup - Seniors.
Hairdressing - Children.
Hairdressing - Seniors.
Dresser for the Dame!
Chaperones (need a CRB).
Programme sellers.
Publicity - distribution of flyers and posters.
Advertising - finding and invoicing advertisers for the programme.
Author of newsletters (I may even let you loose on this news section of the website).
Microphone runner - from the back of the auditorium to the stage when there are sound problems.

Calling all parents - Snow White needs chaperones!
As a theatre group run by volunteers, we really do rely on the help of the families of our cast & crew.
We need plenty of chaperones to help with the younger cast members during the pantomime. Being a chaperone is great fun, you become an important part of the backstage crew and the buzz around the theatre during the run is infectious!
If you would like to give Upstagers a couple of evenings of your time to help out with this important job, then please sign up on the list posted on the notice board in The Barn, indicating whether you already have an appropriate CRB certificate.
